You will prepare and cook:
Little Maiden Cupcakes - a delicious combination of raspberry and carrot together with berry yoghurt, iced with a pink icing (using real beetroot juice). So pretty!
Almond & Rosewater Biscuits (gf) - I served these little beauties to my students for afternoon tea and they were devoured. A recipe given to me recently by my Aunt Anne.
You will learn to:
Identify, weigh and measure all ingredients
Follow and understand 2 different recipes
Use knives safely
Beat eggs and grate carrot and beetroot
Mix wet and dry ingredients together to form cupcake batter
Fill muffin tins
Make an icing to decorate cupcakes
Mix, roll, top with almonds and bake biscuits
Cook as part of a team
Take directions regarding hygiene and safety around the stovetop, oven and benchtops
All classes are held in Jane’s Kitchen, Clayfield and will be run to a Covid Safe Plan.
